The Indiana Health Care Association (IHCA) is Indiana’s largest trade association and advocate representing proprietary, not-for-profit and hospital-based skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living communities. IHCA’s more than 480 member facilities care for more than 35000 of Indiana’s geriatric and disabled citizens, the majority of whom are low-income Medicaid recipients.
Governed by a 17-member board of directors, IHCA was founded in 1958 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing quality long term care at every level. IHCA is a founding member of the profession’s premier national organization, the American Health Care Association.
