ABOUT IHCF

The Indiana Health Care Foundation (IHCF), a 501 (c) (3) organization, was established by the Indiana Health Care Association in 1997. IHCF’s mission is to promote healthcare issues concerning minorities, aged and chronically ill Hoosiers.

Funds award by IHCF are to educate the general public on healthcare issues, support research and awareness projects to promote and improve healthcare outcomes and the delivery of healthcare services. IHCF funds are awarded through scholarships, sponsorships and underwriting.

PROGRAM INITIATIVES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009 THROUGH 2014

Establish a healthcare literacy campaign to education the general public on high risk diseases. The
healthcare literacy campaign will include partnerships with healthcare providers for screening and testing of individuals of the community.
Address healthcare inequalities and inequities by increasing cultural competencies through the
creation of the Indiana Health Care Foundation Policy Institute.
Focus on the staffing shortage in long term care by collaborating with high learning institutions to
increase healthcare education programs and by promoting the long term care profession through the creation of internships.
Award scholarships to person that have an interest and dedication to serve the elderly in a long term care environment. IHCF will provide funds for all positions in long term care; develop a career path program through partnerships with long term care providers.

IHCF accepts tax-deductible contributions from individuals and businesses as allowed by law.
